MONROVIA, LIBERIA-US Ambassador Michael McCarthy has praised the work done by the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) over the past thirty-two years in Liberia.
Ambassador McCarthy lauded the CRS for the leading role in the fight against poverty, and being at the forefront of the national response to emergencies.
He said:” In a Country divided by civil war, the CRS has nurtured peace among Liberians.”
The US Envoy spoke recently at the CRS ’Through the Years’ event in Monrovia.
Ambassador McCarthy then assured commitment to longstanding partnership with the CRS to implement the US Government’s Youth for Peace program.
The program is aimed at transforming marginalized youth into ambassadors of peace and supporting violence-free elections in 2023.
