MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Monrovia City Corporation (MCC) has disclosed plans for the construction of a major land fill to address the issue of waste collection in the City.
The proposed land fill, worth over twenty-million United States Dollars, will help the MCC to properly dispose of waste from Monrovia and its environs.
The disclosure was made by Monrovia City Mayor, Jefferson Koijee, during a special press conference on Thursday, December 29, 2022.
According to Mayor Koijee, negotiations are ongoing with partners to support such hugely significant project.
He said:” The lack of proper waste disposal has been a major challenge experienced by the MCC over the years.”
Major Koijee is , at the same time, encouraging citizens to cooperate with the MCC by keeping the City clean, green and safe.
