BOMI COUNTY, LIBERIA-Citizens of Bomi County are demanding the Management of Western Cluster Company to employ more citizens of the County or risk eviction.
In a recent mass citizens’ meeting, the Bomi citizens adopted a ten-count resolution, demanding Western Cluster Management to meet up with their demands, unconditionally.
Reports say disenchantment among Bomi citizens has taken center stage, as growing agitations remain unabated.
But Western Cluster Human Resource Director, James Tarpeh, called Bomi citizens to remain calm, as the Company is doing everything possible to address the unemployment issue.
Mr. Tarpeh appealed to the citizens to give the Company five months, after the first exportation of minerals to put it in a better position to intervene.
ELBC Correspondent quotes authorities of Western Cluster as saying the Company has two-hundred citizens of Bomi County in its employ, but residents of the area have since denied.
