MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A high-power delegation from the African Development Bank (AfDB) has concluded talks with authorities of the Liberian Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI).
According to a recent release issued, leaders of the banks also discussed the framework of the AfDB’s proposed Youth Entrepreneurship Investment Bank program.
At the dialogue on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, LBDI Acting President, Mark Nyemeane, said:” The Bank’s position as Liberia’s only development finance institution, presents a unique opportunity for it to play a central role in the AfDB private sector development plans in Liberia.”
The release added that Mr. Nyemeane reiterated that the proposed African Development Bank project will strengthen Liberia’s economy and place the West African Nation on an unprecedented path of growth and infrastructure development.
Meanwhile, AfDB Country Manager, Benedict Kanu, recommended that the banks drive plans to implement national development projects in Liberia.
