MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Political aspirants have begun removing pre-campaigning materials in compliance with the mandate of the National Elections Commission (NEC).
According to ELBC Reporter assigned at the Commission, several billboards, posters, and banners, among others, have been removed in Paynesville City, Congo Town, and Monrovia, respectively.
On May 5, 2023, the Commission embarked on the documentation of campaign violations across the country, and later warned would-be aspirants to desist or risk being punished by a fine.
The fine for a campaign violation ranges from one thousand to five thousand United States Dollars.
