LOWER MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-Margibi County District One Representative has dedicated and turned over to the Liberia National Police (LNP) in a modern police depot in Duazon in Lower Margibi County.
The facility valued at over one hundred thousand United States Dollars contains more than eleven rooms, including offices, two detention cells, an evidence room, two bathrooms, and a conference room, among others.
Representative Tibelrosa Tarponweh said:” My move to construct a police station is to help combat crimes and protect residents of the district.”
The Margibi County District One Lawmaker further disclosed that his personal contribution towards the project amounted to eighty-thousand-one-hundred-sixty dollars, while an additional thirty-three thousand dollars was taken from the County China Union Social Development Fund.
Remarking on the dedicatory program, the Chairman of the House’s Committee on National Defense, Representative Jimmy Smith of Montserrado County District Two lauded his colleague for constructing such a “state-of-the-act” police station to help fight crimes.
Also speaking, Police Inspector General, Col. Patrick Sudue, commended Rep. Tarponweh for his effort to construct a police station in Duazon, terming it as “first of its kind.”
