“Vote development, reject failures to the Nation”-Pres. Weah

by Maximilian K. Kasseh jr

MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-President George Weah has admonished citizens of Margibi County to vote for development and reject leaders whom he described as failures to the nation.

The Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Standard Bearer told Margibians not to entrust the country’s leadership with recycling politicians, as doing so will grossly subject the ordinary citizens to poverty.

President Weah said: “My administration is a redeemer to the plight of the people, and my government will continue to improve and impact lives through the Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD).”

Speaking to supporters in Gibi District, Margibi County, the Liberian Chief Executive promised to restore the years failed politicians have stolen from them.

Meanwhile, citizens of the county have pledged overwhelming support to President Weah’s second-term bid.

The Magicians, comprising women, youth, and traditional groups represent the five electoral districts of the county, and they named women and youth empowerment interventions, and job and quality educational opportunities as some of the tangibles undertaken by the Weah-led Administration.

They hailed the Liberian Leader for maintaining the peace and upholding the tenets of democracy over the past five years but appealed to the government for the construction of youth centers, markets, and roads.

At the same time, the CDC Senatorial Candidate, Nathaniel McGill, has donated two million Liberian Dollars to the citizens of Gibi District.

Mr. McGill said:” The cash is intended to empower women, including traditional midwives and voluntary teachers in Gibi District, and it is a way of giving back to the people.”

He then reassured them of the government’s commitment to elevate citizens’ living standards.

Mr. McGill also termed the Weah-led Administration as a new day for all Liberians and an era that has given voice to the most rejected groups in society.

The former Minister of State for Presidential Affairs lauded the Liberian Leader for the enormous development initiatives in the country, naming health, education, and other sectors that are stimulating national growth across the country.

The Margibi County Senatorial Candidate, however, wants the citizens of Margibi County to overwhelmingly give President George Weah a resounding one-round victory come October 10.
