West African Examination Council Liberia Office withholds Results of Some Students…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The West African Examination Council (WAEC) Liberia Office says the West African Senior School Certificate Exams (WASSCE) results of some candidates have been withheld for alleged collusion.

Collusion is said to have been committed when all candidates sitting an exam write the same wrong information.

The WAEC Boss, Dale Gboto, said:” Over seven hundred schools colluded in the 2023 public exams, and some schools colluded in one subject, while others colluded in two, four, and eight subjects.”

Mr. Gboto spoke on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, when he appeared as a guest on the ELBC Radio program, Education at Mid-Week.

At the same time, the Ministry of Education is passionately pleading with school administrators and proprietors in the collection of registration and other fees.

The Ministry wants schools to keep students in school, while parents mobilize financial resources for registration and other requirement payments.

The Ministry’s Communication Director, Maxin Bleeten, said:” Registration period runs until the end of September, amid slow pace in the enrollment processes at learning institutions across the country.”

Mr. Bleeten announced the Ministry’s appeal on Wednesday, September 20,203 on ELBC’s Education at Mid-Week program, and also cautioned schools not to send students home for lateness but rather punish them to prevent possible unwholesome acts.
