MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Margibi County District Three Representative Ellen Attoh-Wreh has proposed the establishment of a leadership committee on drug, rehabilitation and reintegration.
Representative Attoh-Wreh believes such a committee will provide effective oversight on the multi-sectorial committee set up by President Joseph Boakai on Monday, January 29, 2024.
She said:” The committee, when established, will have a direct mandate to fight drug use and abuse among the youth.”
Meanwhile, the communication has been endorsed with a mandate to establish an ad-hoc committee to work with the Executive for execution.
President Joseph Boakai, during his State of the Nation Address on Monday, declared drug and substance abuse a National Public Health Emergency.
