MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Inspector General of the National Police, Colonel Gregory Coleman, has vowed that his administration will do all within its powers to restore public trust.
Col. Coleman admitted that public confidence and trust in the police are currently low and fragile.
The Police Inspector General told ELBC on Monday, May 27, 2024, that the LNP is working out modalities to strengthen relationships with communities in a bid to enhance confidence in the work of the police.
He said:” A strong Police Community relationship will go a long way in creating a safe environment that promotes economic growth and development.”
Meanwhile, Police Inspector Gregory Coleman says plans are underway to address the wellbeing of volunteer officers while recruiting and training a new batch of officers.
