Nat’l Public Health Institute of Liberia Discloses One Confirmed Monkeypox Case in Sinoe County

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Director General of the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) has disclosed one confirmed case of Monkeypox in Sinoe County.

According to Dr. Dougbeh Nyan, the case was reported from the Jeadepo Statutory District in the County.

Dr. Nyan also said:” The health authorities are monitoring seven suspected cases of the disease. Citizens and foreign residents should follow all preventive measures, including constant washing of hands; avoid contact with affected persons and report any suspected case of the disease.”

Dr. Dougbeh Nyan disclosed this on Monday, September 2, 2024, during a press conference in Congo Town.
