Monrovia Liberia – Liberia and Greece have highlighted bilateral agreements, with focus on development of the two countries.
The agreements focus on key development areas, including road networks, mining, health, education and forestry.
Other areas include fisheries and aquaculture, agriculture, tourism, among others.
According to a dispatch, the agreements came out of discussions after Liberia’s Ambassador to Greece, Geraldine Bass-Golokeh, presented her letters of Credence to Greek President, Prokopis Pavlopoulos.
The dispatch says senior Greek officials who attended the ceremony were Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Kotzias, and Minister for sub Saharan African Affairs, John Ioannidis.
It named others as Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs, Miltiadis Varvitsiotis and Liberia’s Honorary Consul in Athens, Greece, Alexander Soutos, among others.
