MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti has stressed the need to redefine the relationship between Liberia and South Korea in order in order to address the challenges that lie ahead.
Minister Nyanti emphasized the importance for the two countries to reflect on their shared history to shape a future that benefits their citizens.
The Liberia Foreign Minister also reaffirmed Liberia’s commitment to supporting peace in the Korean Peninsula.
She made these remarks on Sunday, November 10, 2024, during a ceremony in Congo Town, making the 60th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea for its ongoing support for Liberia’s development over the years.
Meanwhile, South Korea Ambassador to Liberia, Pankyu Kim, meanwhile, said:” The 60th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Liberia represents both the culmination of a significant journey and the commencement of a new chapter.”
He emphasized that the milestone marks not only a celebration of the maturity of the relationship, but also presents new opportunities rooted in their shared history.
Ambassador Kim noted that South Korea’s expertise has greatly contributed to Liberia’s Agriculture Sector by providing essential technology and knowledge to enhance productivity.
The South Korean Envoy also revealed his government’s commitment to strengthening the partnership to foster Liberia’s economic growth.
