Liberia’s Health Ministry, Partners Ends Three-Day Stakeholders’ Engagement…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Health and partners have concluded a three-day stakeholders’ engagement to review the National Community Health Program (NCHP) Policy and Strategy aimed at enhancing maternal, neonatal, child, and adolescence services.

Speaking at the engagement, Health Minister Dr. Louis Kpoto envisioned an improved healthcare system, and rallied key stakeholders to confront prevailing health challenges with robust measures.

Dr. Kpoto reaffirmed her commitment to transforming Liberia’s Health Sector by prioritizing community health services, strengthening human resource capacity, and ensuring essential healthcare access for every citizen.

The Health Minister called for the urgent need for community engagement and health quality to confront the nation’s ongoing health challenges.

She underscored the importance of amplifying the voices of grassroot leaders who hold unique solutions to the barriers preventing quality healthcare access.

The Health Minister noted that despite progress made thus far, Liberia still faces high maternal mortality rates and other pressing health challenges, which she identified as areas requiring immediate, sustained focus.
