MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Agriculture has cautioned rubber owners and dealers against dealing with illegal rubber groups operating in the country.
Agriculture Minister Alexander Nuetah made specific reference to the Rubber Broker Association, saying that the Association is illegal and not recognized by the Liberian Government.
Addressing a MICAT Press Briefing on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Minister Nuetah urged all stakeholders in the Rubber Industry to refrain from engaging in business with unauthorized groups.
He said:” The Rubber Broker Association does not have any legal standing, and is not sanctioned by the Agriculture Ministry as rubber owners and dealers transacting business with any illegal rubber group may lead to legal consequences.
The agriculture minister said:” The Government of Liberia has emphasized the importance of dealing with legitimate organizations and adhering to established guidelines to ensure compliance with national laws.”
