MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Integrity Watch Liberia, and the Irish Government have signed a grant agreement worth one hundred seventy thousand Euros in Monrovia.
The agreement signed on Monday, December 9, 2024, will see the implementation of a project aimed at strengthening inclusive governance and natural resource accountability in Liberia.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Executive Director of Integrity Watch Liberia, Harold Aido, said:” The grant will enable us to monitor the National Legislature, and the Bureau of Concessions for effective service delivery.”
Mr. Aido noted that with the robust monitoring of concession agreements, the government stands to optimize domestic resource mobilization and also negotiate better.
In remarks, Ireland’s Ambassador to Liberia, Gerald Considine, said:” The agreement is aimed at ensuring that Liberia’s resource revenue is increased and realized.
