LOFA COUNTY, LIBERIA-The family of a seventeen-year-old boy who reportedly committed suicide while in police custody in Lofa County is demanding an autopsy before the burial of their son.
Yarkpawolo Moisema was among three others undergoing police investigation for is linked to the death of a forty-year-old woman in the county.
The call followed reports of an ongoing discussion to turn the body over for burial.
Our Correspondent said:” The family presented a four-count petition requesting a copy of their son’s transfer and delivery record, and names of police officers on duty at the time of the incident.”
Meanwhile, the Liberia National Police (LNP) Detachment in Lofa County is appealing to family members of the deceased to remain calm as they investigate the circumstances leading to his death.
