MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-Liberia’s Assistant Education Minister for Teacher Education has emphasized the critical role of digital literacy in enhancing teaching and learning outcomes in Liberia.
Minister Clifford Konah underscored the importance of embracing digital knowledge as a fundamental tool for modern education and urged educators to take it seriously.
Minister Konah remarked on Monday, January 20, 2025, during the official launch of the IRISE Digital Training program held across the Kakata Rural Teacher Training Institute (KRTTI), WRTTI, and Zwedru Rural Teacher Training Institute (ZRTTI) campuses in Kakata, Margibi County.
He encouraged participants to utilize the digital skills gained during the training and implement it effectively in their respective schools.
The launch witnessed the participation of over three hundred rural teachers, making it a significant step towards empowering educators with the skills needed to improve Liberia’s education system in an increasingly digital world.
