BOMI COUNTY, LIBERIA-Bomi County Superintendent, Miatta Dorley, is rallying financial assistance from citizens, including the County Legislative Caucus, in support of an agriculture project in the County.
The project, worth over two hundred fifty thousand United States Dollars, is aimed at enhancing the productivity of farmers in the County as Agriculture remains a key component of the Liberian Government’s agenda.
At the official launch of the project in Tubmanburg recently, Madam Dorley noted that such an initiative can only be achieved, with the collaborative efforts from residents by contributing only a dollar.
She disclosed that the agricultural project will be implemented across all districts in the County, as district heads have been urged to secure five acres of land for the project.
Madam Dorley named rice production, vegetable production, and animal housing, as three focal areas of the project.
