MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Inspector General of the Liberia National Police (LNP) has warned the group of lawmakers invited as persons of interest in the Capitol arson attack to be available for investigation voluntarily.

Col. Gregory Coleman said:” The LNP has received information that some lawmakers have mobilized their supporters to protest, whenever they are invited for questioning.”

Inspector General Coleman has called on the affected lawmakers to adhere to the instruction of their colleagues to be present whenever they are requested to do so.

According to the Police Chief, lawmakers were elected by the people, and by that, they are accountable to the people of Liberia whenever need be.
