MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has pledged the Liberian Government’s support to the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL).
President Boakai said:” The Government will endeavor to make the AFL the best in the region.”
The Liberian Leader made the commitment at the Pinning Ceremony of two members of the AFL at the Executive Mansion on Friday, January 31, 2025.
President Boakai lauded members of the Armed Forces of Liberia for their sacrifice and dedication to public service over the years.
He, however, reassured them of the Government’s renewed vigor to empower and invest in the growth of the AFL.
The two officers, Brigadier General Davidson Forleh and Col. Theophilus Dana were promoted to the ranks of Major General, respectively.
Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Davidson has renewed the AFL’s readiness to defend the Constitution of Liberia.
Maj. Gen. Forleh said:” The Army will continue to faithfully discharge its duties in line with the interest of the country. The Army is well positioned to defend the territorial confines of Liberia from foreign and domestic threats.”
Maj. Gen. Davidson Forleh, on behalf of his colleagues, appreciated President Joseph Boakai for the honor bestowed upon them and promised to support the smooth operations of the Armed Forces of Liberia.
