Commerce Ministry Presents Motorbikes to Environmental Protection Agency…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Commerce Ministry has presented five motorbikes to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to enhance its operations.

The five Yamaha Motorbikes including insurance costs are put at a little over twenty-two thousand United States Dollars.

Presenting the items on Friday, February 10, 2025, at the Ministry’s office in Congo Town, Commerce Minister, Magdalene Dagoseh, said:” The Ministry is concerned about identifying with line ministries and agencies under the Liberia Investment and Finance Trade Project (LIFT-P). The support will enhance the growth of MSMEs and the overall promotion of the government’s ARREST Agenda.”

Minister Dagoseh underscored the need for collaboration with the Commerce Ministry, and the Environmental Protection Agency, including MSMEs in the Country.

Receiving the motorbikes on behalf of EPA Executive Director, Dr. Emmanuel Urey Yarkpawolo, EPA Focal Person, John Jallah, lauded the Commerce Ministry for the gesture, noting that the donation would enhance the EPA’s ongoing decentralization process and promote local business enterprises.

Mr. Jallah also indicated that the EPA has been working to customize its licensing regime and expressed the hope for more assistance from the Commerce Ministry and partners.
