Monrovia Liberia – The Partnership for Research on Vaccines and Infectious Diseases in Liberia, PREVAIL, has transitioned its focus to Malaria, a non- Ebola infectious disease.
PREVAIL Acting Co- Lead for Social Mobilization, Joseph Boye- Cooper, said the US- Liberia Research Partnership commissioned a five- year Ebola- related research following the outbreak of the virus in 2014.
Mr. Boye- Cooper in an ELBC interview Friday said, PREVAIL conducted Ebola- related research, ranging from therapeutics among others.
According to him, PREVAIL will conclude follow-ups on areas captured under the five year research pending data formulation by December 31 this year.
He said the latest research among other things focuses on why pregnant women and children are often diagnosed of malaria.
