MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The World Bank has pledged to provide 490 million US dollars to support Liberia’s development drive.
According to Deputy Information Minister for Press and Public Affairs, Daniel Sando, the funding from the World Bank is a major boost to the development agenda.
Minister Sando indicated that the fund will be used in the areas of education, energy, and Agro-businesses, among others.
He disclosed that this support to Liberia’s national development goal is through the upcoming Country Partnership Framework.
Minister Sando said:” The World Bank pledged at the ongoing Spring Meeting in the U.S,. being attended by Liberia’s Finance Minister, Augustine Ngafuan.
