MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Council of Churches (LCC) is expected to host its 35th General Assembly and conduct a fresh election for a new corps of officers, who will run the affairs of the organization for the next three years.
LCC Secretary General, Rev. Christopher Toe, disclosed that over two hundred fifty delegates, including representatives of the fifteen LCC Chapters from the fifteen sub-political subdivisions, are expected to be in attendance.
Rev. Toe pointed out that Rev. Fidon Mwombeki, the General Secretary of the All Africa Conference of Churches based in Nairobi, Kenya, will deliver the speech marking the opening of the conference.
He said,” The conference will be held under the theme:’ Reconciliation, Acknowledging the Past, Serving the Present, and Adjusting for the Future’, and will take place from May 28- 31, 2025.
According to the LCC Secretary General, President Joseph Boakai, House Speaker Richard Koon, and Senate Pro Tempore Nyonblee Karngar-Lawrence are also expected to grace the opening ceremony.
