Foreign Minister Beysolow-Nyanti Pledges Liberia’s Sustained Partnership with Cameroon

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow-Nyanti has pledged Liberia’s continued collaboration with Cameroon, through the African Union and other multilateral platforms.

Minister Beysolow-Nyanti said,” Liberia remains determined to strengthen the bilateral relationship between both countries, especially in the areas of economic cooperation and cultural exchange.”

According to a Foreign Ministry release issued recently, Minister Beysolow-Nyanti made the pledge when she addressed a diplomatic reception commemorating the National Day of Cameroon.

She also noted that the partnership between Cameroon and Liberia must reflect the aspirations of both people and their desired future for Africa.

Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow-Nyanti said Liberia salutes the resilience of the Cameroonian people and their pursuit of peace and development, despite the challenges they face.

In response, Cameroonian Ambassador to Liberia, Augustine Gang, expressed appreciation for Liberia’s solidarity and reiterated Cameroon’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Gang highlighted the long-standing relations between the two nations and acknowledged Liberia’s support in various regional and continental initiatives.

According to him, Cameroon recognizes Liberia as a key partner in West-Central African cooperation, noting that together the two countries can build bridges of peace, development, and shared prosperity.

He also stressed the importance of education and youth empowerment in the countries’ cooperation agenda and expressed optimism about future collaborations in agriculture, trade, and technical exchange.

The event, hosted at the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, brought together government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and friends of Cameroon to mark the country’s 53rd National Unity Day.
