MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) has commenced investigation into the mysterious disappearance of ex-Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) Deputy Governor for Operations, Charles Sirleaf’s money as well as Albatross International Incorporated.
The Chairman of the LACC, Cllr. Ndubusi Nwabudike, on Monday, June 8, 2020, cited GTBank Manager Ikenna Anekwe for a conference in connection with Mr. Sirleaf, and the Albatross Company’s money matter.
The conference slated for today Wednesday, June 10, 2020, is intended to discuss the veracity of issues given the role of the Bank.
GTBank in house lawyer, Cllr. Joseph Kollie, confirmed Tuesday, June 9, 2020, that the LACC Boss’s June 8, 2020 communication and that they will respond to the communication before Wednesday’s conference.
Cllr. Ndubusi Nwabudike communication comes at a time when the Bank has objected to State lawyers’ application for a writ of subpoena, seeking to surrender Mr. Sirleaf’s original bank transactions, including deposits and withdrawal slips.
