MONROVIA,LIBERIA-Police have charged and forwarded to court four persons, in connection with the recent violent incident along the Tubman Boulevard in Monrovia.
The four persons are U-Jay Gongar, Tamba Nyando, Boston Tubman and Trokon Whitfield.
According to a Friday, July 3, 2020, the Liberia National Police (LNP) said:” The four suspects are charged with terroristic threats, hindering law enforcement, criminal mischief and rioting.”
Police preliminary investigation revealed that the four individuals allegedly set ablaze car tyres in Congo Town, in protest of alleged surcharge in data and voice calls.
The release also said the suspects have been forwarded to the Monrovia City Court for prosecution.
Meanwhile, the LNP said it will arrest, investigate and forward to court any individual engaged in acts that have the propensity to undermine the peace and stability of the Country.
