GRAND GEDEH COUNTY, LIBERIA-Grand Gedeh County Legislative Caucus has condemned attacks on Montserrado County District Ten Representative Yekeh Kolubah.
The Caucus’ condemnation followed Thursday, July 30, 2020, protest by some citizens of Grand Gedeh County, demanding the Representative to leave the County for his constant outburst on the Liberian Presidency, among other things.
The Caucus Chairman, Representative Alex Grant, wants State Security bring the perpetrators to justice.
Representative Grant also warned against any attempt by anti-peace elements to use the County as conduit to undermine the peace of Liberia.
He reaffirmed the County’s commitment to upholding the rule of law at all times, for the peaceful coexistence of all Liberians.
Meanwhile, the political leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Alexander Cummings, and Montserrado County District Ten Representative, Yekeh Kolubah, have safely departed Grand Gedeh County.
Grand Gedeh County Superintendent Kai Farley said:” Mr. Cummings and Representative Kolubah were escorted from the County by local authorities, after briefly holding discussion with their supporters.”
However, Superintendent Farley maintained that the ANC Political Leader and delegation did not inform authorities of the County.
The Grand Gedeh County Superintendent also clarified that the aggrieved residents staged the protest against Representative Kolubah, and not ANC Political Leader Alexander Cummings.
