MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberians are observing Liberia’s National Flag Day today Monday, August 24, as a National Holiday across Liberia.
The National Legislature on October 25, 1915, declared the day to celebrate the National Ensign of the Country.
A Foreign Ministry release issued over the weekend quotes President George Weah as ordering all Government offices and business houses closed on August 24, 2020.
National Flag Day is celebrated by Liberians and residents, to pledge allegiance and loyalty to the flag of Liberia and show love for Country.
The release said all Liberians and residents are to fly the flag at all dwelling places and public buildings throughout the Country.
