MONROVIA, LIBERIA-House Speaker Dr. Bhofal Chambers has mandated the Secretariat and Committees on Ways and Means and Foreign Affairs to review Liberia’s indebtedness to international parliaments.
Speaker Chambers said Tuesday, September 22, 2020, that the mandate is aimed at determining the Country’s financial standing with international bodies.
He disclosed that there have been some gaps in the payment process during the 52nd and 53rd Legislature.
He said the 54th Legislature incurred some of the debts and it was time to be in good standing with the international parliaments.
Speaker Chambers said:” The review process will also enhance transparency and accountability.”
