MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Executive Council of the Federation of Road Transport Union of Liberia (FRTUL) has suspended the President General of the Union for three months on allegation of misapplication of entrusted funds.
The Council accused Mr. William Flomo of misapplying and misusing more than four-million Liberian Dollars and ten- thousand United States Dollars.
In an eight-count resolution, the union’s National Executive Council said:” Mr. Flomo remains suspended until the funds can be restituted or he will be taken to court.”
When contacted, Mr. Flomo denied the allegation and added that he remains President of the Federation of Road Transport Union.
Speaking to ELBC Thursday, Mr. Flomo said:” The union’s National Executive Council has no legitimacy to suspend him and I will seek legal redress to the situation.”
