MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Justice has dispatched a team of prosecuting lawyers to Maryland County, to indict one person accused of killing a motorcyclist.
The Justice Ministry on Monday, April 5, 2021, confirmed to ELBC that the team led by Assistant Justice Minister for litigations, Cllr. Wesseh A. Wesseh left for the Southeast over the weekend.
The Team is seeking to convene the Special Grand Jury in Maryland County for an indictment for the lone suspect, Moses Miabah, who has since been charged with murder and criminal conspiracy.
The deceased, Modecial Nyemah, was allegedly murdered by suspect Moses Miabah and others last month in Pleebo, Maryland County.
The killing prompted series of violent protests across the County, leading to the destruction of properties in Pleebo and Harper.
President George Weah imposed a curfew on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, in order to restore law and order in the county.
