MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has extolled the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), for the numerous support it continues to provide for the development of football in Liberia.
President Weah also hailed the President of the Liberia Football Association (LFA), Mustapha Raji, for the commitment he continues to demonstrate in upgrading Liberian football.
The Liberian Leader said he was exceptionally glad to work with the leadership team at the LFA, because they share his vision to develop football by working closely with FIFA.
He spoke Wednesday, April 7, 2021, when he dedicated TUSA Sports Pitch in Gardnersville, a project sponsored by FIFA.
The President said:” I was excited and proud to dedicate TUSA Football Field, one of the many lumpy pitches I played on in the 1980s leading to my stardom in world football.”
According to him, the refurbishment of TUSA Field is part of plans by his administration to refurbish every football field that he played on growing up in the football arena.
