BUCHANAN, LIBERIA-The National Elections Commission (NEC) today Thursday, May 6, 2021, officially climaxed a week-long conference for its Board of Commissioners and staff.
The conference is aimed at discussing the challenges faced by the Commission in conducting elections in Liberia.
The Commissio0n also looked at the way forward in speedily handling electoral disputes.
ELBC Grand Bassa County Correspondent quotes NEC’s Director for Monitoring and Evaluation, Ernestine Barse, as saying recommendations from the conference will help the Commission fast-track its activities and correct some of the errors being made.
He described the conference as an in-house one, seeking recommendations from its staff on issues undermining electoral activities in the Country.
At the close of the Conference, a resolution will be adopted on the success and challenges being faced by NEC.
