Monrovia, Liberia – President George Weah has broken grounds for the construction of a new annex of the Gonglota Public school in Salayea District, Lofa County.
The construction of a new annex is expected to extend the school to a full high school for the first time.
President Weah, during the groundbreaking Thursday, instructed the Minister of Education, Prof. Ansu Sonii to ensure that the project is completed.
Also speaking, Vice President, Jewel Howard-Taylor, thanked the Liberian Leader for supporting the school extension project.
VP Taylor said the project, initiated by her office last year, is being challenged due to a lack of financial support.
The President is currently in Lofa County as part of the fourth leg of his citizens’ engagement tour.
