MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Orator of the 174th National Flag Day celebration wants Liberians rise above ethnicity, religion and political affiliation and unite for the betterment of the Country.
Assistant Youth and Sports Minister for Technical and Vocational Education, Millias Sheriff, urged Liberians to consider the National flag as symbol of peace and unity.
Minster Sheriff emphasized the need to promote unity among Liberians as suggested by the Theme of this year’s national Flag Day.
He reflected on efforts being made by the citizens in overcoming challenges and difficulties that had engulfed the Country over the years.
The 174th National Flag Day Orator, however, admonished Liberians to reflect on the sacrifices and motivation of past leaders to unite the Country.
Meanwhile, Education Minister Ansu says the Liberian Government remains committed to making education accessible and affordable to all Liberians.
Minister Sonii said such commitment has been demonstrated by the ‘Political Will’ and support President George Weah continues to give the education sector.
In his Flag Day Message, the Education Minister recounted that the payment of WASSCE fees and a tuition-free regime for public schools as manifestation of the president’s good legacy.
He also recognized the support of Liberia’s development partners in enhancing secondary education in Liberia.
Minister Sonii then called for increased collaboration amongst education stakeholders, to improve the sector.( By Sampson David)
