MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Director General of the General Services Agency (GSA), Madam Mary Broh, is calling on Liberians to join the Monrovia City Corporation (MCC) in cleaning the city.
Madam Broh wants Liberians and residents of Monrovia to take cleanliness of the city as their own responsibility and not just the MCC.
The Head of the Citizens Engagement Board said:” Residents can help by the safe disposal of their waste to the collection points and cleaning of their surroundings.”
The Citizens Engagement Board, comprising fourteen prominent Liberians from diverse background, was appointed by Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Koigee to derive strategies and sanitation plans for the City.
Madam Broh said the Board will, in the coming days, carry out series of activities, including outreach and public forum on waste management and governance of the city, ahead of Liberia’s Bicentennial celebration.
