MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Finance has submitted the 2022 Draft National Budget to the National Legislature in the tune of $785 Million Dollars.
Finance Minister Samuel Tweah described the budget as an instrument of national development and transformation, which is critical to the lives of Liberians.
He said:” Across the eleven sectors of the budget, there is significant growth in the health, education, public administration, infrastructure and basic services, energy and environmental sectors, the rule of law, transparency and accountability, municipal government, agriculture and social development services.”
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Bhofal Chambers, praised the Executive for the submission, while committing the body to scrutinizing the budget for the benefit of the Country and citizenry.
He spoke Thursday, November 18, 2021, in the confines of his Capitol Hill Office, in Monrovia.
