MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Foreign Minister Dee-Maxwell Kemayah says he has instituted several measures to enhance the foreign policy agenda of the Liberian Government.
Minister Kemayah named the measures as image building, cost effectiveness, transparency, accountability, equal opportunity, capacity building, efficiency and productivity, among others.
He pledged to instill the culture of transparency, accountability and openness in the entire workforce of the Foreign Ministry.
Minister Kemayah said:” I remain unwavering in projecting Liberia’s diplomatic image among the country of nations.”
The Foreign Minister spoke over the weekend at the 69th Graduation program of the Gabriel Dennis Foreign Service Institute in Monrovia.
Meanwhile, Minister Kemayah has disclosed plans to engage international partners to setup E-Learning platform and other online exchanges with foreign universities and institutions, for the benefit of students at the Foreign Service Institute.
At the same time, the valedictorian of the 69th Graduation Class of the Foreign Service Institute wants Heads of Government ministries and agencies to attend the institution, to enhance their negotiation skills.
Police Inspector General, Patrick Sudue, said:” Owing to the global dynamics, it is important for persons heading government Para-status to have strong negotiation skills to bargain for the Country.”
Col. Sudue also recommended to President George Weah to consider the employment of members of the graduating class, and previous graduates into the Country’s Foreign Service.
The Police Inspector General pledged their preparedness to diligently work in the Country’s Foreign Service in the interest of the Country.
