MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah is urging religious leaders to be more practical in addressing and dealing with national issues.
President Weah said:” Religious leaders have an important role to play in the overall governance process of the Country, especially in keeping it stable.”
The Liberian Leader stated that every citizen, particularly members of the cleric, is under obligation to serve as ambassadors for peace and unity in their dealings.
According to an Executive Mansion release issued over the weekend, President spoke during a meeting with religious leaders of diverse faiths at the Ministerial Complex, in Congo Town.
Commenting on the Bicentennial celebrations, the Liberian Leader then urged the Religious Community to be a part of every event commemorating the Country’s Bicentennial.
The meeting was held a few days after the Bicentennial Steering Committee Chairman, Ledgerhood Rennie, apologized to the Religious Community and political parties for failure to invite then at the kickoff of events on January 7, 2022.
