House of Rep. ends Public Hearings on eight loan instruments valued over $100 Million Dollars

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives Joint Committees on Ways and Means and Judiciary have ended Public Hearings on eight loan instruments to be ratified and facilitate roads, electricity and the agriculture sector.

On Tuesday, August 25, 2020, a member of the Ways and Means Committee, Representatives Francis Dopoh, said the eight instruments have the value of up to one-hundred-fifty-million United States Dollars.

Representative Dopoh said as part of the gathering, the Committee invited the Ministry of Finance and the implementing agencies, including the Ministries of Public Works, Agriculture, Mines and Energy, Health and the Liberia Institute of Geo-Information Services (LIGIS).

He added that the appearance of the Ministries and agency was consistent with the Rules of the House of Representatives.

Meanwhile, Justice Minister Musa Dean attested to the legality of the loan to be ratified by the National Legislature.
