MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Hearings for the Draft National Budget for 2020/2021 are continuing today, August 31, 2020, with several government ministries and agencies expected to appear at the National Legislature.
The Legislature’s Joint Committee on Ways, Means, Finance and Development Planning and Public Accounts and Expenditure is conducting the hearings.
A release from the Legislature over the weekend says the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Information will appear to Monday, August 31, 2020, for the hearings.
According to the release, the Liberia Revenue Authority, Civil Service Agency, General Services Agency and the Liberia Institute for Geo-Information Services (LIGIS) are also expected to appear on Monday.
The hearings will continue on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, with institutions from the health and agriculture sectors appearing, and on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, universities and other institutions of higher learning will defend their respective budgets.
