TUBMANBURG, BOMI COUNTY-Forestry Development Authority (FDA) Managing Director says assess to protected areas is paramount to the restoration of forest landscape and conservation in Liberia.
Mr. Mike Doryen said:” Improved road connectivity in protected areas will enhance free movement of conservationists, to conduct research and ensure sustainable forest management.”
The FDA Boss spoke over the weekend at a two-day workshop on Forest Restoration and Degrading Landscape in Tubmanburg, Bomi County.
The forum was organized by the West Africa Biodiversity and Climate Change (WABICC) Project.
WABICC Senior Policy Analyst, Wale Adeleke, said his entity is working towards restoring forests in the sub-region, especially the greater Gola Landscape.
