Working groups to curb challenges in salary structures in Liberia prove effective…-Director Thompson

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Director-General of the Civil Service Agency (CSA) says two working groups set up to curb challenges in the Liberia’s salary structures have been effective in carrying out their mandates.

Mr. James Thompson named the two working groups as the Inter- Agency Wage Bill Technical Committee and the Inter- Agency Pay-roll Clean up Taskforce.

Mr. Thompson said:” The Inter-Agency Wage Bill Technical Committee has been able to harmonized salaries and made the allowance system operate independently of the basic pay system of the CSA.”

He disclosed that the Inter-Agency Pay-roll Clean up Taskforce successfully removed ‘ghost names’ from the Liberian Government payrolls, while implementing civil servants’ retirement process.

The CSA Director-General spoke Monday, October, 26, 2020, at program marking the launch of the Budget Transition Policy at the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town.
