MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Supreme Court has lifted the stay order placed on campaign activities and mandated National Elections Commission to proceed with the process.
According to our Judicial Reporter, the Court’s decision comes in the wake of Mulbah Jackollie’s withdrawal over alleged security threats on his life.
Mr. Jackollie’s lawyer, Cllr. Jallah Barbu, said his client’s withdrawal came as a shock while on his way to court.
Recently, a former Senatorial aspirant of Margibi County, Mulbah Jackollie, filed an application to the Justice in Chambers, praying for the issues of an alternative writ to place a stay order on NEC campaign on grounds that his name was omitted from the listing.
