MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The 2020/2021 Liberia Football Association Orange National League continued Sunday with changes in the standing on the league table.

Nimba County based first division team Nimba Kwado enjoyed the weekend’s fixture, as they became the first side to make Defending Champions and League Leaders LPRC Oilers taste defeat for the first time in the season.

Nimba Kwado defeated LPRC Oilers away at the ATS 1-0 on Sunday, December 6, 2020, to also dethrone the league leaders at the top of the table.

Alloy Brown spot kick goal was enough to end LPRC Oilers unbeaten run in the season, thus making Nimba Kwado the only side yet to taste defeat in the season.

The win takes Kwado at the top of the table one point ahead of Oilers, who have now failed to win in three straight matches this season.

Nimba Kwado, who are having their first taste of top flight football this season, have been solid in defense  and fearful in attack, winning four out of their six fixtures so far in the season.

Their Coach, Kollie Korvy, told a team of journalists recently that the ambition of the club is to win this year’s league title, something they are not taken lightly.

Clubs have struggled against them in Sanniquellie City this season.

They are yet to drop points at home, with the two draws so far in the season coming away against Monrovia Club Breweries and Mighty Barrolle.

Kwado will sit at the top of the table as the league takes a break.
