Learning Squared Liberia to partner, invest in education and micro-finance to transform rural women and children

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – An international civic education group, Learning Squared Liberia, says it is ready to invest in the country to transform lives of rural women and deserving children.

Learning Square Liberia will officially launch its programs in Liberia, on March 19, 2021, in Monrovia, to expand on its education and social micro-finance activities beyond the initial five counties of operations.

Learning Square Liberia is collaborating with its American and Canadian partners have being implementing pilot projects in the Liberia for the past five years.

The organization’s Project Manager, Alvin Freeman, speaking in an interview Tuesday, March 2, 2021, said the investment plan is meant to buttress government’s efforts in transforming the education sector.

Since 2018, Learning Squared Liberia has provided scholarship grants for 396 children in five counties, including Montserrado, Grand Cape Mount, Bomi, Grand Bassa, and Margibi, with micro-grants for women empowerment.
