by Joseph Sayon

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The national chief Imam of Liberia, Sheik Ali Krayee has pledged the Muslim community unflinching support to the development of Liberia.

Imam Krayee however assured that Liberian Muslims will remain peaceful in their quest for a united Country.

He cautioned Liberians to hail and glorify others with integrity and not those with questionable wealth at the detriment of the Country

Imam Krayee urged Liberians to put the interest of the Country above their personal interest.

His statement was contained in his Ramadan Day message delivered at the Benson Street Mosque in central Monrovia.

Meanwhile, the former Chairman of the National Muslim Council of Liberia, Sheik Omaru Kamara said the day brought blessing and unity among all Liberian Muslims who have accepted Thursday, May 13, the day of Ramadam unlike the past.

Former Chairman of the Imam Council also noted that the supernatural change of the date of Ramadan make it difficult to legislate the day as a national holiday.
