MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Education (MOE) is encouraging schools across Liberia to register third graders for the pending WAEC exams.

Speaking in an ELBC interview Monday, May 24, 2021, the Minister of Education, Ansu Sonii, noted that several schools have reneged on registering their students, since the registration exercise began.

Min. Sonii added that schools that have not registered are mainly situated in Maryland, River Gee and Grand Kru Counties.

He emphasized the significance of the exams, as it would help the Ministry to evaluate the performances of students at primary level.

Min Sonii is, however, calling on parents to underwrite the cost in registering their children to sit the pending exams.

He added that it would give the Ministry an insight on those schools that are poorly operating in the country.
